At South Philadelphia Structured Living, we provide only the highest quality recovery homes in Philadelphia for men and women. We created an environment within our sober living homes that is welcoming, comfortable, supportive, and most importantly, conducive to your ongoing path to sobriety.

We know from experience that building healthy relationships with others is an integral part of the recovery process, which is why we place a strong emphasis on our community, mutual trust, respect, and understanding among residents. We believe we are not only the best recovery houses in South Philly, but among the best recovery homes in the entire state of Pennsylvania.

Exploring our world in a new and healthy way is an essential part of maintaining long-term addiction recovery and one of our key principles within transitional housing. We are family and treat our guests as such. If you have completed addiction treatment and are looking for safe recovery homes to get back on track, look no further than us.

Sober living homes, also called recovery homes or transitional housing, are a supported living environment for individuals who have completed addiction treatment. These homes provide a comfortable and safe environment for those looking to maintain their sobriety, prevent relapse, and help individuals transition back into daily life. The best sober living homes provide structured daily activities in an environment free of drugs and alcohol, with zero-tolerance policy for substance use on the premises.

The residents are also expected to follow certain rules, have accountability, and be actively involved in the community. These principles help people stay focused on their recovery goals. At the end of the day, recovery houses offer a crucial step in the continuum of care for individuals seeking sobriety. It provides an essential bridge between addiction treatment and independent living through methods of relapse prevention and 12-step programs.

In addition to the safe and well-kept housing we provide that makes our recovery homes great, our guests will attend meetings and group activities to provide support for one another on their recovery journey. According to studies on relapse, the best way to stay sober is to feel alive again and build relationships with a group of people you can trust and reach out to.  This family-oriented atmosphere is what we take pride in most within our recovery homes at South Philadelphia Structured Living.

Our sober living houses are decorated nicely and tidied up by staff before your arrival, as our top priority is to make you feel safe and comfortable with a clean and welcoming environment. Our staff knows what addiction is like and have experienced some of the worst living conditions other recovery homes have to offer. We’re fully dedicated to making sure our guests feel at home in and are receiving the proper care they need.

Everything we feel and do relates to our well-being and directly affects our actions and emotions. Those struggling with addiction often feel a lost sense of self and transitional housing for those seeking sobriety aims to restore the feelings of being lively and active.

An imperative part to recovery is helping an individual integrate back into society through a smooth transition after they’ve completed addiction treatment. In our sober living homes, we help our residents rediscover their potential for their mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. We assist residents in getting involved in helping out around our community, neighbors, as well as our own peers.

At SPSL, fun is also essential in sober living and life in general. Creating new memories and experiences are essential in maintaining sober living and reducing the weight on your shoulders. We incorporate various different forms of entertainment including movie nights, camping trips, charter fishing trips, amusement park trips and more things to do in Pennsylvania & New Jersey, all covered by housing.

Philadelphia Bridge

Gaining independence through recovery in a sober living environment requires a holistic approach that encompasses all aspects of one’s life. This includes not only the physical environment, but also community, career, belief systems, physical activities, self-care, self-esteem, and creative activities. To facilitate this, we created an approach in our recovery homes that will help our residents excel in every aspect needed to achieve long-term sobriety.

One of the key components of our approach is the encouragement of self-help meetings, such as 12-step meetings for alcohol and drug abuse (AA, NA, CA, etc.), Smart Recovery, Al-Anon, and Grief Groups, among others. Additionally, we offer a guidance to our transitional housing residents including resume building, therapy, job search assistance, and more. By incorporating wellness into every aspect of daily life, residents can achieve their full potential and live with passion and purpose. We support our residents in their efforts to live a healthy and meaningful life in sobriety and find independence through recovery.
